Oh Paul, that's just the tip of the iceberg, you could say, around here. It's pretty amazing. I wouldn't call it willful ignorance so much as power enacting its self interest.
Lovely to receive this in my inbox this morning. Happy to hear the WOOFER laughs at your jokes. It's impressive what you've built through the cold, the wind, and the crap. I very much enjoyed my visit back in 2018 (interviewed you for book), which feels like ages ago in this changing world. Sending warm vibes your way from an only moderately cold winter :)
Yeah, we had some pretty tough WWOOFers last year Denise. It's quite the lottery. But Averie's so wonderful I don't mind putting her up for a week without any work. (OK, she bakes bread now that Paul taught her! And takes care of the chickens.) Are you going to MOSES? We're going.
HAHA! Yes, winter! Strange though - like everything else, it comes in extremes these days. 50 degrees in December, then this stuff in February...I'm glad of the cold for my fruit trees. They need it.
Got to love the fact that Iowa took "climate change" out of the science standards. The spike in willful ignorance in this country is astounding.

Thanks Trevor! Hope you stay with us and get more stories. How did your book end up doing? I hope well! Stay warm -
Suzan you are amazing! I’m glad you have a great WOOFER. Thank you for your farm and your political work. Not easy work.

No to MOSES - wonderful event, somewhat overwhelming.
Best of luck with that cold! I remember the Polar Vortex cold is not fun. Back in the day we called it winter!
